Thanks to Will, Richard, Gloria and all for putting together the event on Saturday. There was a good turnout of neighbors interested in the proposed improvements to the reservoir area.

Anonymous New P-Patch Garden at Reservoir Park 0 Feb 8 2010, 3:48 PM EST by Anonymous

Julie Bryan, the P-Patch Cultivating Communities Program Manager, came to the neighborhood celebration at the park on Saturday. She walked the proposed garden site, on the north side of the reservoir, with us. The Department of Neighborhoods had scheduled to proceed with the development of the garden this year. However, since we're submitted the letter of intent with the Parks Department for Levy development funds, she thought that perhaps the design of the garden space should wait until we know whether we'd get the funding and have time to start the park design process. This could push out the garden development another season, which would be unfortunate for anxious gardeners. I will contact Julie and see if there are ways to get the garden started for growing this summer. Anyone else want to advocate with me? - Sue Jensen -- jensegengreen@yahoo.com
